Where belonging
is built

We walk alongside newcomers as they find stability, opportunity, and a real sense of belonging. Every step is intentional — designed to turn uncertainty into confidence and potential into progress.

Global Citizen Incorporated is an immigrant-led non-profit organization committed to advancing inclusion. Through and anti-racist, intersectional approach, we support immigrants and newcomer families to settle and integrate in Canada without losing their roots and identity, while building community capacity to create more welcoming, equitable spaces. We centre lived experience, dignity, and the talents every person brings.

We serve newcomer women, children, youth, food-insecure families, and immigrants of all statuses who are working to build stable, meaningful lives in Newfoundland and Labrador. Our focus is on individuals and families who are often underserved, overlooked, or facing systemic barriers to belonging, opportunity, and dignity. We are committed to increasing access to essential resources, community support systems, and opportunities that foster inclusion, resilience, empowerment, and long-term wellbeing. Through community-centred and culturally responsive approaches, we strive to create pathways for empowerment, connection, participation, leadership, and meaningful integration into the broader community.

A Founder's Note

Sadaatu, founder

Why we built this

I remember what it felt like to arrive somewhere new — and realise how easy it is to become invisible. No one should have to go through that alone. Everything we do is grounded in dignity over charity: not just offering help, but restoring a sense of worth and self-direction.
