What we do

We tackle food insecurity, social isolation, poverty, and systemic exclusion — because settlement is more than paperwork.

Since 2024, we've served hundreds through mentorship, networking, and culturally relevant support.

Our approach is defined by lived experience, empathy, and a commitment to collective action — meeting newcomers where they are.

Global Citizen Incorporated team supporting newcomers in Newfoundland and Labrador

Why we exist

Our Mission

Global Citizen Incorporated is an immigrant-led non-profit organization committed to advancing inclusion. Through an anti-racist, intersectional approach, we support immigrants and newcomer families to settle and integrate in Canada without losing their roots and identity, while building community capacity to create more welcoming, equitable spaces.

Our Vision

A community where newcomers and residents share genuine belonging rooted in dignity, respect, and equity, where diversity is celebrated as strength, opportunities are accessible to all regardless of background, identity, or difference, and systems respond with integrity rather than performative inclusion.

What Drives Us

Our core values

These values reflect our commitment to social justice, cultural diversity, interconnectedness, and collective responsibility — not abstract ideals but daily practice.

We celebrate the unique traditions, languages, and strengths of every community we serve. No one should have to erase their identity to feel welcome or to access the support they deserve.

03 — Core value

Empathy & Collective Action

We lead with empathy, recognizing our shared humanity. From mentorship to food support, every action is designed to reduce loneliness, poverty, and isolation — because change happens together.
